Jeremy “Coach” Moore
Co-Founder, Executive Director and Head Coach
Coach Moore grew up in Bellefonte, Wilmington, DE. From a young age he has been committed to giving back to his community and to his country. A life-changing injury suffered during his time in Afghanistan led him to discovering an impactful blend of physical, emotional, and mental recovery. In 2018, More Than Fitness was born. Coach Moore has over 20 years of working in youth development. He has many certifications and awards, but is most proud of his military service, the Jefferson Service Award, and being a Mount Pleasant High School Grad. In his free time Coach Moore thinks about how to improve our programs to better build productive members of society.
Lindsay Pawlikowski
Deputy Director and Backbone of the Organization
Lindsay Pawlikowski is Deputy Director of More Than Fitness. She was an athlete growing up, playing volleyball, softball, basketball, and swim team. She has also been a devoted volunteer since a young age, winning the Serviam Service Award at graduation from Ursuline Academy. She has worked in the Non Profit sector since 2010, working at United Cerebral Palsy of Delaware (UCP) after her oldest son was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. At UCP, she worked with individuals with special needs as a Summer Camp Administrator, Case Worker, and Housing Case Manager. Lindsay joined the team at More Than Fitness in 2021, providing Administrative and Programming Support. Lindsay enjoys spending her free time with her family (partner, three kids, and two dogs), reading, swimming, traveling, and being in nature.

"Coach Ellis"
Ellis Rouse was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Delaware in 1999. He has lived in Edgemoor Gardens since 2012. Ellis developed a basketball program for the youth of Edgemoor, called Future Leaders Basketball Association, which he ran from 2014 to 2020. The program focused on mentoring and drug prevention. Ellis began working at Bellevue Community Center over 10 years ago and is currently working as a Community Outreach Coordinator. Ellis joined the More Than Fitness team in the Summer of 2022.
Dr. Kiersten McCartney, PT, DPT, MS

"Coach K"
Dr. Kiersten McCartney is a Physical Therapist and PhD Student at the University of Delaware, studying Biomechanics and Movement Sciences, with a passion for engaging people with disabilities in exercise, fitness, and sport. As a lifelong athlete, Kiersten knows firsthand the physical, mental, and social benefits of exercise and believes in the power of fitness as a vessel to help people discover their potential. As a former exercise physiologist at the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab in Chicago, IL, Kiersten created individual fitness programs for people of all abilities, including those with neurological impairments, such as spinal cord injury, stroke, and Parkinson’s Disease. She is currently a member of the Neuromotor & Behavior Lab researching physical activity and high intensity exercise in people with chronic stroke. In 2021, Kiersten was appointed to the CrossFit Adaptive Competition Eligibility Board to help develop the processes for athlete eligibility in Adaptive Divisions. She currently conducts research and provides strength & conditioning plans for the men's and women's US Amputee Soccer Teams. She co-founded and coaches Arena Adaptive which provides group fitness classes for Adaptive Athletes, is an active member in her CrossFit community in Wilmington, Delaware, and can be caught running at sunrise.
Mohammed Chowdhury
Program Coordinator
Mohammed Chowdhury is a proud graduate of Mount Pleasant High School and an early participant in Coach Moore’s student program at the school. His experience in the program sparked a passion for fitness, community, and personal growth, which now fuels his work as a Program Coordinator at More Than Fitness.
A strong advocate for the transformative power of fitness, Mohammed works to ensure every participant has access to the tools and support they need to thrive. In his role, he focuses on program development, fostering connections within the community, and maintaining the high standards of excellence that define More Than Fitness.
When he’s not working, Mohammed enjoys staying active through swimming, weight training, and hiking. He also spends time mentoring others and contributing to his local community, drawing inspiration from the values that shaped his time as a student in the program.
